Introduction: An intervention study was carried out in a port enterprise were the safety observations was an important element for risk identification and evaluation for this project. Objectives: 1) Identification of safety and unsafe behaviors in the Haiphong enter- prise, and 2) evaluation of the impact of the educative intervention. Method: The safety behaviors were carried out during the interven- tion study in Havana harbor from 2002-2005; this observation were developed in three stages: before, during and after the intervention. We observed 12 brigades of stevedores from Haiphong enterprise (control terminal); the total of workers was 122, were observed 18 behaviors in their daily activities. For each moment were observed two brigades with mean of 20 stevedores for observation and 18. The observation was evaluated in quanti-cualitative way; in each brigade were observes 6 behaviors (the same in each observation stage); in total we observed 714 behaviors/workers. Results: The safety behaviors were increasing in the main activities. This im- provement was higher in the second observation (in the middle of intervention). This observation at the end of the intervention were evaluated as well because the major part of behaviors had better evaluation according the first observation; there were activities that were evaluated of bad, mainly where the worker behavior were not significant.
