The contents are divided into chapters entitled: introduction, properties of oil-bearing formations pertaining to oil production and core analysis; basic dynamic equations for homogeneous-fluid flow systems; individual well problems in uniform strata with homogeneous-fluid flow; strata of nonuniform or anisotropic permeability with homogeneous-fluid flow phenomena; steady-state heterogeneous-flow systems, the productivity index; general reservoir mechanics; gas-drive reservoirs; complete-water-drive reservoirs; secondary recovery; condensate reservoirs; and well spacing, recovery factors and recoverable reserves.
