BackgroundGlucose Tolerance Test (GTT) newly detects diabetes (new diabetes) in a substantial number of patients without a history of diabetes (known diabetes) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Patients with new diabetes have poor outcomes, despite their lower HbA1c levels.
