The effect of scattering of the
grain size
of initial austenite on the
kinetics
of the γ → α transformation is analyzed for plain carbon and chromium-bearing two-phase steels. Components of a
computer model
describing the
kinetics
of the transformation, which are directly related to the size of the austenite grains, are considered. The structural parameters computed by the model and determined experimentally are compared.
