The Persistent Scatterer InSAR (PS-InSAR) technolo- gy can monitor surface deformations in millimeter accuracy. Using high-resolution radar satellite data, like for example data from TerraSAR-X, subsidence of large buildings and railways can be precisely measured. In this article, we selected two test areas in Shanghai Pudong, to introduce the application of Terra- SAR-X images for large building and linear structure deforma- tion monitoring. Temporal analyses on representative points con- firm that high resolution SAR data can be used for subsidence monitoring of large buildings and linear structures.
