b Changshou chemical industry park development &amp construction co, ltd, Chongqing, China Abstract—Myristyl hydroxyproline lauryl alcohol diester was synthesized from Myristic acid and Hydroxyproline lauryl alcohol monoester using a commercially available lipase as catalyst in solvent free medium, 78.5% conversion of Hydroxyproline lauryl alcohol monoester was obtained when the reaction was carried to 9hrs. Compared with L-hydroxyproline, the oil-water partition coefficient of diester increases from -1.2 to 0.6(pH7.0).
