protocol. However, what is ultimately needed is a complete link-layer design to support a prioritized wireless communication and ensure reliability, stability and quality of service jointly. In this paper, we present a new approach in wireless link-layer protocol design to achieve preferred data recovery order across connections, while maintaining stable and reliable data flow in a wireless network. The proposed Prioritized Adaptive Code-Enhanced (PACE) protocol uses rate-adaptive Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes to preform error recovery for different traffic types under a dynamic decoder scheduling service. To that end, we classify heterogeneous link-layer traffic arrivals into different priorities in accordance with the latency requirements (enforced by the application) and the traffic distortions.
